Cabo San Lucas — January 2004

The day of the big storm (thus the coats and wet hair). Lindsay took this photo, proving I was actually there...

The swell was so big during the storm that the boat was rocking and pitching enough to slide you off the bunk when you tried to sleep. A bunch of stuff fell in the boat that had never fallen before, and one of the the inflatables got damaged pretty badly. Wanda and Lindsay stayed up all night, watching videos and taking Dramamine. I somehow managed to wedge myself on the bunk and sleep through it.

Wanda got bad bruises on both sides of her leg when the heavy walk-in cooler door swung shut on her during a violent roll. The same thing happened to Debora, the engineer's wife, an hour later.
